Men can be incredibly confusing, can’t they? Dating is more challenging than it’s ever been before. There are so many rules we’re supposed to remember when it comes to catching and keeping a man’s heart. For instance, we all now know that being independent and having your own opinion is actually a good thing in the eyes of most single men. Still, we suffer through bouts of not knowing what’s going on in our own relationship. Such is the case when a guy you thought was really interested suddenly drops out of sight. If you’re asking the question, “why hasn’t he called after our date,” the answer may not be what you’d expect.
Typically if a woman asks her single friends the question, “why hasn’t he called after our date,” they’ll say it’s because he’s so smitten that he can’t think straight. It’s an explanation we tend to believe for the simple reason that we don’t want to face the alternative. A man who is deeply interested in you isn’t going to run the other direction without a word. He’s actually not calling because something changed for him between the time you two met for the date and right now. Suffice it to say that during the date something turned your guy off and now he’s not sure he’s willing to overlook it to continue to pursue a relationship with you.
During the dating stage of any relationship neither person is typically all that emotionally invested in the other. There’s an obvious point where that does change and in most relationships it’s actually the woman who first starts to fall deeper. For the man he’s still back in the “like” phase and is still trying to determine if you’re a good fit for him or not. If you do anything, even something seemingly meaningless, that rubs him the wrong way, the relationship will be over.
Some men just don’t have the courage to come to you and say that they’ve lost interest. Those men would much rather wander off into the sunset with the hope that you’ll soon forget about them. Obviously that’s incredibly unfair to you and it’s up to you whether or not you’re willing to accept that type of behavior. A good piece of advice to follow is to give it some time so you can sort through what you’re feeling as well. Take a couple of weeks to really consider whether you believe he was as perfect of a match as you thought he was. If he was you can then start on the path towards regaining his interest by showing him that one action or some random words you may have spoken during the date don’t define who you are as a woman or as a partner.
When a woman makes a critical mistake in her relationship it can damage it forever. If you’ve done anything that has caused your man to pull back, there is a way for you to get his interest back now.
