Why Do Men Run Away From Love? Understanding Why You Were Dumped

How is it that you can be deeply involved with a man and yet never see a break up coming? It happens to many of us at one time or another. We fall in love with the man of our dreams and instead of planning a future together, we are nursing a broken heart because he needed some time or space. It’s a horrible, wretched experience to go through. He said he loved and adored you yet he just up and left one day. It’s so difficult to deal with a situation like this when you feel you’re living in a cloud of confusion. The question of why do men run away from love is one you really need an answer to. If you can get a better understanding of why men do this, you can then start working on getting him back in love with you.

We all want to believe that the answer to the question of why do men run away from love is they feel completely overwhelmed. When the man you’re with suddenly creates distance it’s understandable for you to want to put a positive spin on this. Your close friends likely help with this when they tell you that the reason he’s heading for the hills is because he is too much in love. The truth is that men who are in love want to be one place and one place only. They want to be close to the women they adore. Gaining distance or space isn’t something a man in this position wants at all. It’s actually the very last thing on his mind.

The real reason men run away from love is they aren’t actually as deeply in love as we assume they are. In the earliest stages of any romantic relationship a man’s perception of the woman he’s with can change dramatically. There are a whole list of seemingly innocent things a woman can do during this phase of the relationship that can make her seem completely unappealing to her guy.  These things include saying you love him too early, sleeping with him before you’ve really gotten to know each other and pushing him into dating you exclusively. If you’ve done any of these things, he may have run away because he decided you just weren’t the woman for him.

It’s important to be realistic when you’re in this situation. As emotionally challenging as it is to admit that he may have ran away because the relationship wasn’t what he wanted or you made a mistake, it’s an important step you have to take. Once you can recognize that he wasn’t as deeply and unconditionally in love with you as you are with him, you can then move forward as a stronger woman more aware of herself and the man she cares for.

When a woman makes a critical mistake in her relationship it can damage it forever. If you’ve done anything that has caused your man to pull back, there is a way for you to get his interest back now.
